AGC of California Recognizes FlatironDragados Safety Leader

FlatironDragados Health & Safety Director Melvina Stacey earned the 2026 Harry Eckstein Safety Professional of the Year from the Associated General Contractors of California. The prestigious award honors safety professionals who go above and beyond to improve workplace safety and advance the industry through exceptional dedication, innovation and leadership.

For more than 20 years, Melvina has shaped safety culture across infrastructure, transportation, heavy civil, and oil and gas industries. She has led safety operations on significant projects such as the Los Angeles International Airport Automated People Mover and the Gordie Howe International Bridge which spans the U.S.–Canada border in Ontario, ensuring that safety remains central to every decision and process. 

Throughout her career, Melvina has championed a people-first approach, mentored emerging safety leaders and strengthened collaboration across teams. Her influence extends far beyond individual projects as she works to elevate safety standards across the industry.
