The San Diego International Airport Terminal 1 earned the 2026 Associated General Contractors Baldwin Group Build America Merit Award in the Design-Build Building category.
The Build America Awards recognize projects that demonstrate excellence in construction, innovation and collaboration. Terminal 1 stood out for its complex delivery, coordination across multiple stakeholders and commitment to keeping travelers moving safely and efficiently.
FlatironDragados, in a joint venture with Turner, is delivering the project. The team is transforming one of the region’s busiest transportation hubs through a phased approach that maintains airport operations throughout construction.
