The new Harbor Bridge, the longest concrete segmental cable-stayed bridge in North America, is in its home stretch.
Structural work is now complete on the structure, which is scheduled to open before summer.
The team celebrated with a "topping out" ceremony, joined by partners from the Texas Department of Transportation and other key stakeholders.
The project reports an impressive 10 million hours of work on the bridge. The 205-foot bridge stands much higher than the 138-foot bridge (built in the 1950s) it replaces. The project team will eventually take the old bridge out of use.
