FlatironDragados, in a joint venture with our subsidiary, Pulice Construction, and FNF Construction, and in partnership with the Arizona Department of Transportation, completed the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement project — the largest urban freeway reconstruction in ADOT’s history.
Spanning 11 miles, the project serves as a vital gateway into Phoenix, carrying more than 300,000 vehicles daily. The upgraded corridor enhances safety and reduces commute times and congestion. Major upgrades include:
- Widening to six general-purpose lanes and two HOV lanes in each direction between I-17 and U.S. 60
- Adding a fourth general-purpose lane in each direction between U.S. 60 and Loop 202
- Constructing collector-distributor roads to separate local and through traffic
- Rebuilding the I-10/SR 143 interchange with direct HOV connections
- Reconstructing 20 bridges
- Adding pedestrian and bicycle bridges and improving trail access
Governor Katie Hobbs joined mayors from Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler and Guadalupe for the official opening celebration, along with representatives from FlatironDragados, Pulice Construction and FNF Construction.
The event marked a significant milestone in advancing the region’s transportation network.
