Brian Connolly and Brandon Rhodes say company culture encourages continuing education.
“FlatironDragados is a big supporter of continuing education and industry-recognized certifications. I received a lot of support.”
Southwest Equipment Manager Brian Connolly (above left) is smiling after a major accomplishment. He just became a Certified Equipment Manager, a highly sought-after certification offered by the Association of Equipment Management Professionals.
The CEM is rigorous; Connolly says he spent 10 months preparing for it. It covers various equipment topics, including financial and risk management, life cycle cost analysis, and parts management.
Equipment Coordinator Brandon Rhodes (above right) gained his own AEMP certification. He is now an Equipment Management Specialist, which also requires deep knowledge of several areas. “The core areas the EMS needs to know are essential for effectively managing heavy equipment fleets and ensuring efficiency,” says Rhodes.
