2024Project Overview
The Concourse Expansion Program was a series of collaborative delivery projects to expand capacity as the number of passengers at Denver International Airport has grown exponentially since the facility opened in 1995. It was a key effort to prepare the airport to serve 100 million passengers annually.
Delivering much of the work ahead of schedule, FlatironDragados and joint venture partner Turner Construction led the work to:
- Build nearly 900,000 square feet of new space, charging stations and outdoor decks at two concourses
- Add 28 new gates
- Extend and improve existing utility infrastructure including underground jet fueling distribution system (pits and a vault) and new airplane de-icing facilities
- Meet LEED Gold v4.0 criteria, with a rooftop solar array
