2026Project Overview
The Remote Aircraft Parking Pad initiative is designed to give United Airlines more storage capacity for multiple aircraft at one of the airline’s busiest hubs. It involves building a remote parking pad to accommodate up to 20 A321/Max 10 planes or five larger, wide-body aircraft.
Leveraging a collaborative delivery model, the project includes:
- Pave more than 100,000 square yards of apron
- Using more than 60,000 tons of concrete as recycled aggregates on the project and in mix designs
- Conducting more than 540,000 cubic yards of earthwork
This project is the latest at Denver International Airport for FlatironDragados. Along with sister company Turner, the firm has expanded concourses and built dozens of new gates, aprons, and mechanical levels with extensive upgrades to de-icing facilities and an in-ground jet fuel pits.
