The Anderson Dam Tunnel project is a critical infrastructure initiative to enhance water management and dam safety in Santa Clara County, Northern California. 

FlatironDragados is building a 1,700-foot-long, 24-foot-diameter tunnel to serve as a permanent outlet for Anderson Reservoir. 

The project improves reservoir control, increases operational flexibility and strengthens emergency response capabilities. The tunnel will end 40 feet below the water's surface, allowing for controlled releases and emergency drawdown via 11-foot-diameter butterfly and fixed-cone valves.    

The project:  

• Expands emergency drawdown capacity to meet modern dam safety standards  
• Protects Coyote Creek through improved reservoir operations
• Provides critical support for long-term seismic retrofit efforts  

FlatironDragados used specialized techniques to protect fish habitats, maintain water quality and limit construction impacts during the project's construction.
