Pulice — a FlatironDragados company completed the $44 million Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange project in Kingman, Arizona. The project gives the northwest Arizona city a new Interstate 40 connection to Kingman Airport, employment centers and industrial development while creating additional transportation capacity to support the community’s continued growth.
Pulice joined the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the City of Kingman and community partners to celebrate the opening of the interchange and the Flying Fortress Parkway connection to Airway Avenue. Work began in 2024 and finished on schedule in 2026.
“This project creates infrastructure that can serve Kingman starting on day one,” Pulice President Victor Jimenez said. “By improving access to vital commercial areas, the Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange will help create new economic opportunities. I am excited Pulice could be part of this milestone for a great community.”
ADOT praised Pulice and other contractors for their work on the project.
“In terms of contractor partnership, this has been one of the best projects I’ve worked on,” said ADOT Project Supervisor Ken Dudley.
The project reflects how FlatironDragados companies approach public infrastructure: close collaboration with agency partners and on-schedule delivery of projects built to support long-term community growth.

- Improved access intended to accommodate future traffic demands and reduce pressure on the existing East Kingman interchange
Honoring Kingman's Aviation History
The opening celebration featured a flyover by a B-17 Flying Fortress. The flyover paid tribute to Kingman Airport's origins as Kingman Army Air Field, a training ground for World War II pilots and gunners.
