Transit needs are expanding. Riders took 8.1 billion trips on public transportation in 2025, 443 million more than in 2024, and ridership returned to 83 percent of 2019 levels in December 2025, according to the American Public Transportation Association.

FlatironDragados is meeting that increased demand by delivering complex transit projects across North America. From commuter rail in Maryland to light rail in British Columbia, our teams are building the systems that move North America — safely, efficiently and alongside the communities we serve.

Purple Line Rail

Maryland

The new 16-mile light rail line through Bethesda, Maryland will connect Prince George's and Montgomery counties and will offer a direct link to existing public transportation services including key Metrorail lines, MARC commuter rail, Amtrak and multiple bus networks.

Franconia-Springfield Rail

Virginia

The Franconia-Springfield Bypass will cross over two mainline freight tracks to enhance passenger train efficiency along the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac rail corridor.

Link Union Station

California

New “run-through tracks” on an elevated rail yard will increase Los Angeles Union Station capacity by up to 200%, improve transit connectivity, accommodate Amtrak and Metrolink service and prepare the corridor for future high-speed

Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit

Ontario

FlatironDragados improved connectivity and travel times across Toronto with 19 km light rail line, 10km of underground track, four bridges, 25 stations and stops linking 54 bus routes and extensive utility mitigation and protection.

Rockaway Resilience and Rehabilitation

New York

FlatironDragados’ subsidiary SPC Construction is rehabilitating and repairing critical viaduct infrastructure along the Rockaway Line to strengthen resilience against flooding and improve service.

G Line Improvements Project

California

FlatironDragados is delivering key rail and bridge upgrades as part of the G Line Improvements Project to expand convenient transit access for millions of Los Angeles County residents.

Metrolinx Finch West Light Rail Transit

Ontario

The FlatironDragados team expanded transit in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area with 11 kilometers of new dedicated light rail transit, 16 surface stops, an underground interchange station and a new maintenance and storage facility.

Susquehanna River Bridge Project

Maryland

Following significant improvements and refurbishments, the new Susquehanna River Rail Bridge will improve safety and reliability for commuter, freight and intercity passenger rail services on the Northeast Corridor, the most heavily used passenger rail line in the United States.
