Across the country, our teams in Southern California teamed up with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Ronald McDonald House of San Diego (RMH) on a holiday toy drive. This is a well-loved, annual tradition that brings extra joy to our team members.
As Senior Project Office Manager Heather McColl shared, “Some of our team members have utilized the services of RMDH or had children receive treatments at Rady’s Children’s (Connected to RMHD). Being able to give back to an organization that has personally helped our family during a difficult time is fulfilling and a way to show the support was appreciated.”
Each year in Colorado our teams adopt a few families in the Adams 14 School District, one of the most underserved in the state. We’re able to provide gifts to many who might not have Christmas if not for our team. “It gives us a lot of joy to be able to reach out to the communities around us,” says Nicole Fehr, Flatiron superintendent. Nicole has been the main leader behind the organization of this annual gift drive at Flatiron and shares that it makes it her favorite time of the year.
In Northern California our US-50 project team organized a toy drive for Shriners Children’s. Flatiron employees had a wonderful time gathering gifts for the kids over the last few weeks and delivering bundles of holiday joy to the hospital this season.
